        Bought a size M for my 12lb mini dachshund based on his chest girth (10.4in) and length (15.5-16in) and it’s a bit of a loose fit especially around his waist area, but not too big. Based on his length, I would still opt for a M. Really keeps him cozy and warm whenever I take him out for walks in this cold winter season. Also love how water resistant the outer material is. Given how short my dog is, his belly area tends to get wet from the melting ice on the ground while walking. But the outer material is able to keep the water from seeping through the inner layer and keep his belly warm.
